How Consultation Helps

Miriam Shurpin, RDN

Monsey, NY

"Over the years, Dina has helped me immensely to take my practice to the next level. Her incredible active listening skills along with her attentiveness and years of experience have been (and continue to be) a huge support in my work. I highly recommend Dina for supervision if you are looking for compassionate and on cue guidance."

Shira Greenfield, RDN

Baltimore, MD

"Dina's supervision has been a true gift while I'm building my practice.  Every minute of our conversation is packed with clear, practical insights and tips that help me feel more confident helping my clients.  Dina manages to guide me with new ideas and ways of looking at things while still encouraging me with the feeling that I am a great dietitian.  Private practice is rewarding in so many ways, and can sometimes feel a little bit lonely and overwhelming.  Supervision with Dina solves that problem."

Aliza Wallach, ED RDN

Lakewood, NJ

"Dina is more than just a supervisor— she is an exceptional mentor. Dina has unique ability to understand the root of any situation and teach you how to think critically, rather than just giving answers. This guidance has significantly improved my counseling skills and overall knowledge in eating disorder care. Dina has empowered me to become a more effective and confident dietitian."

Meet Your Consultant

Hi! I'm Dina Cohen.

I’m an experienced eating disorder dietitian who has been working in private practice for nearly fifteen years. I know what it's like to want to help your clients but worry about whether you're doing the right thing and providing the best possible care.  Since my very first day at work, supervision and consultation with mentors has been invaluable in building my counseling skills and confidence. Knowing that I was not alone and could always turn to more experienced professionals enabled me to keep working in a field I’m passionate about, even on the hard days, and having the wise perspective of dietitians who were doing this work for many years before me helped me skillfully navigate some very challenging cases.  I appreciate being able to share that knowledge and experience to support dietitians and therapists in doing the same for their clients through professional consultation sessions.
